Women of the Bible Founder, Olivia WoodfordOlivia Woodford is a professional actress/director and founder of Healing Theatre. She has a BFA in Theatre from Boston University and has performed in regional and off Broadway theatres. She has taught theatre in public and private schools, to special needs groups and to people of all ages.

She created four Women of the Bible plays that she presents to churches and schools of all denominations across the country and internationally. The plays were created through study of the Bible and theological texts as well as through contemplation and discussion with theologians and church leaders.

Olivia also leads day or weekend-long women's retreats that focus on the women of the Gospels, providing an historical and cultural perspective of life in Isreal at the time of Jesus.  This provides a backdrop in which to explore these women and what they experienced during their encounter with Jesus.

She now lives in Durham, NC and is a theatre artist dedicated to bringing the sacred into people’s lives.
